Later in life, Max received empowerment of the Santig Dorje Phurba from Ralo Rinpoche at the Phodrang Monastery in Nepal. Of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism, Ralo Rinpoche gave him the title "Ngakpa Dorje" which identifies him as one who has the power to awaken dormant powers within.
Max spent over twenty years learning from his most recent teacher from the Shang-ching Taoist tradition of Southern China. With this teacher he learned the Taoist alchemical traditions, leading to the gold dragon body attainment.
Listed below are some of the traditions Max has been trained in throughout his spiritual life.
* Apache and Navaho medicine path of the Red Willow Society in New Mexico.
* Taoist tradition of the Shangching and Wudang.
* Shamanic tradition of the Blue Wolf clan of Mongolia.

After publicly teaching Kunlun for many years, Max Christensen has retired from the “outer” world and therefore will no longer be formally teaching or offering Kunlun seminars. He has taught over 10,000 people and now has facilitators to help spread the ancient knowledge and mystery of this practice. Max is now on a different journey and wishes you all well in life.
"Remember, you are the beginning and the end of the path that you alone choose. Your mind dictates how you awaken, where your path takes you, and what you may attain in this lifetime."
